Serving Chesapeake’s Military Community

After serving 22 years in the military as an orthodontist, coming to Chesapeake was like coming home to Dr. Christenson. He has a special understanding of how to provide orthodontic care to members of the Armed Forces and their families. Military moves come with enough stress – being in orthodontic treatment shouldn’t add to it. At Christenson Family Orthodontics, we make moving with braces or aligners as easy as possible. We are happy to help walk you through the process of transferring your treatment from your previous orthodontist to our office.

Giving Back to Chesapeake

As a Chesapeake orthodontist, we love supporting the Chesapeake community. We use our long-standing patient reward program to reward our patients and to support local small businesses. As patients accumulate stamps for excellent oral hygiene, great compliance, participating in office challenges, and “liking” us online, they are rewarded with gift cards. Our current selection of gift cards includes, Mr. Jim’s Sandwiches, Amazing Glazed Donuts, and Battlegrounds Coffee House & Grill.

Our staff has also proudly helped clean-up Chesapeake as part of the Great American Clean-up. Dr. Christenson, Dr. Oakley, our team, and our families have spent multiple Saturday mornings picking up litter along Johnstown Road. We love giving back to the community that has made us one of the favorite Chesapeake Orthodontics offices!

Dr. Christenson is an active member of the Chesapeake Ruritans Club. He volunteers annually at the Blue Crab Festival and can be found cooking up blue crabs all afternoon! Dr. C also enjoys participating in the Chesapeake Christmas Parade. The Ruritan Club sponsors community events and provides scholarships to local students.
