Dr. Brad Christenson is a board certified orthodontist who has been creating smiles in Chesapeake since 2004. Prior to that, he served the men, women, and families of the US Air Force as an orthodontist and officer for 22 years. Dr. C has treated over 8,000 orthodontic patients over his career and still loves seeing the final smiles and amazing transformations in each one of his patients!

Dr. Oakley loves building the self-esteem of her patients of all ages through attractive, healthy smiles with her father. The pure delight on her patients’ faces when they see their new smile is why Dr. Oakley decided to become an orthodontist. Traditional metal braces or Clear braces are the most common for children, teens and adults. These braces are made from high-grade stainless steel or a new innovative ceramic material and come with the option of adding colored elastics (rubber bands) for a fun, unique smile! Braces are smaller, more comfortable than ever before!
Invisalign treatment uses a series of virtually invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that allow you to smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign clear aligners are made with 3D computer imaging technology and has been proven effective. More than 70% of orthodontists in the US and Canada are certified to administer Invisalign treatment.
While most young children do not need a first phase of orthodontic treatment, some issues are best and most effectively addressed when your child is young. This is why the American Association of Orthodontists recommends that children first see an orthodontist at the age of 7. At this age, children still have a lot of growing to do, and Drs. Christenson and Oakley can use your child’s already existing growth potential to improve her bite.
